Science
We have begun our study of Properties and Changes in Matter with a scientific test of different types of glue. First we worked on our observation and description skills by working to be highly accurate in our description of a box.
Then students described the properties of 3 types of glue: a glue stick, white glue and glue from a glue gun.
Finally, we got into the scientific method by hypothesizing which glue would be the stickiest. Students then glued popsicle sticks together. Today, we will test which glue was the strongest and write up a report!
Math
We are currently reviewing for the fractions and decimals quiz.
Literacy
We are currently practicing the skill of determining important ideas by looking at a variety of texts. The goal is to be able to summarize using only details that relate to the authors intended message.
Physical Education
We have completed our unit on volleyball and are now moving on to floor hockey!
